Every existence forms each point of a circle that rotates without end or beginning. The circle is this very world. Life lives by leaning on other lives. But modern civilization has forgotten that fact. As a result, we have entered an era of climate crisis, and there are many people in the world with sick bodies and minds. Since there are no humans without the lives that make up this land, however belated, we must remember what we have forgotten.
At this point, I want to show you the nature that I feel, even if it is invisible to the eye. It is not something named 'environment' separated from humans, but a living entity where lives are closely connected, actively moving and changing.
The torn and pasted pieces of Hanji become roots in the ground, and sometimes soil. They are also small lives such as microorganisms, fungi, plants, and insects. Also, they become small particles that make up water. The pieces overlap and overlap to form lumps and establish areas. The colors dyed into Hanji emit a transparent and calm light. Furthermore, because its nature is not heavy, it is comfortable to look at even with multiple layers built up.
My goal is to send a signal so that the love already existing in the heart of the person viewing the painting may sprout. If my painting comes to mind over time after viewing it, I hope you will gently stroke the newly emerged sprout like a baby, gaze at the vibration of the water for a long time, hug a tree, and feel what flows out from it. As the act is repeated, the walls will crumble, and you will fall into rhythm with their movements.
